Free Time

During the language course, there is also ample opportunity to enjoy  the free time periods.  For those wishing to participate, we organise various group activities such as a Figline orientation tour, and an evening in the local pub to share a welcome drink together.  On request we also organise afternoon walks and treks on which you can discover another side of Tuscany.  Other activities that have proved popular with our course participants, are a visit to the local olive oil pressing factory and a visit to a sheeps’ cheese making farm.

For those wishing to enjoy Tuscany by themselves, they will never find a shortage of things to do.  All year round Tuscany holds many kinds of food festivals, parades and medieval festivals, equestrian displays and races, antique fairs, flower shows and markets, selling local gastronomic delights and local hand made goods.  Our secretary is always available to help you make the best of your free time in Tuscany.  We can also give you information about local cinemas and acquire tickets for the theatre in Figline which has regular classical music concerts and other shows.

The secretary can also organise lunch vouchers for you enabling you to have lunch in a trattoria   (a typical Italian restaurant with a family atmosphere), recommended by us,  and at a reduced price.
