Programmes for Schools

Dear Teachers!
A warm welcome to our page dedicated to our schools!

For over ten years now here in Tuscany, we have been specialising in language and culture courses for schools.  We consider it our main duty to ensure that these courses are organised with the maximum of efficiency to make it simple for you to plan your stay over here.  Aside from organising the linguistic courses, we are also able to offer assistance in other ways.  We can book  a hotel room for your group leader, liaise  between the host families and students, organise lunches, book museums in Florence, organise day trips, accompany your group on the day trips, organise airport/station transfers, and also arrange various group activities for the evening, etc...

Our teaching team, both dynamic and experienced have developed accompanying course texts which dedicate a generous amount of time to conversation practice, with topics particularly of interest to young adults.  Role play games, Italian songs and outside activities have themselves a useful purpose in language development, hoping to give students every opportunity to use Italian actively in different contexts.  Our courses of language and culture  are particularly suitable for schools in which Italian is already part of the curriculum, but also we offer courses aimed at beginners with an elementary language course combined with cultural activities.

There are many day trips to choose from to see the breathtaking sights that Tuscany has to offer, and these trips can be booked at the same time as the language course,  providing unforgettable memories of the beauty of Tuscany and explaining  why it attracts so many visitors every year.  You can choose more or less trips depending on the time you wish to dedicate to sightseeing.  From trips delighting art and culture lovers to those more interested in the language or perhaps sport, you can design your own programme.

Our host families which have been carefully selected by us for their warmth and friendliness provide the students with a family orientated base where they stay and from which they can feel at home whilst also being immersed in typical Italian family life.  It’s for this reason that when it comes to departure time and the end of the course, it is often difficult to ‘say goodbye’; on both sides the home stay experience usually proves to be particularly positive.

The town of Figline Valdarno is alluring and charming and for this reason groups often return from an afternoon in Florence with it’s more frenetic pace and large crowds, content to return to ‘this dear peaceful town’ (student comment) where one can experience in all it’s facets, a typical Italian lifestyle.
